A controversial, and not necessarily original work, notable as having been written by Abraham Lincoln's chiropodist (podiatrist), who gained the confidence of Lincoln and served as Lincoln's representative to the Jewish community in America. Zacharie may also have worked as an intelligence operative for Lincoln during the American Civil War. Zacharie characterized himself as "Chiropodist-General, United States Army."
